DIY:: Book Page Gem Magnets

Wanna learn to make something with me?

I saw this super easy and way cute little craft over at Little Miss Momma (for real, is there anything not adorable over there?!) and I thought I’d try it. I needed some new magnets {kiddos bring home A LOT from school!} and I had previously purchased some that were this style, so when I stumbled across how to make them, I just had to!

Easy Glass Gem Magnets

What you need:

  • Mod Podge
  • Glass Gems
  • Magnets
  • Book Pages
  • A paintbrush
  • Pretty Paper
  • Scissors
1.First take your book pages and cut out random shapes that are slightly smaller than the gem. Apply a thin layer of Mod Podge with your brush to the back of the words and glue to the scrap-book paper.
2. Next apply a layer of Mod Podge to the gem.
3. Glue the gems down to the paper, centered on the part you want to become your magnet.
4. Allow them to dry completely, and then cut the gems away from the paper.
5. Apply a layer of Mod Podge to a magnet and secure to the back of the papered gem.
6. Once they are dry, they are ready to go!
Seriously
These turned out so cute. I love them. The black and white text combined with the pretty colored paper. Are you kidding?! I want to eat.them.up.
What cute crafts have you been making?
