Make Your Own:: Citrus Powder

So, why do this? You can use dried citrus peel for so many things, but in the case of this batch here, I’m using it in some diy beauty treatments (posts to come). I dried and powdered both lemon and grapefruit peel.; just let the peel dry out and the crush it up. I used a food processor to get it as fine as I could, because the back of a spoon wasn’t really cutting it. You can also use this powder for a multitude of cooking uses!

You should try to use organic citrus to make sure there aren’t any pesticides on the peels and store the powder in a dark cabinet. It’s amazing how much the citrus scent remains in the dried peels! Yum.

Remember to check back soon for the awesome goodness we are making with this powder! Try to dry out some zest in the meantime so you’ll be ready to go!

{In other news I loaded a ton of vacation pics to start editing. That post coming soon, too!}
