Suffering from winter itch like me? This DIY brown sugar, walnut, and green tea body scrub that is dripping in coconut oil was just what I needed to stop clawing at my legs and get some rest at night. Whip it up just before you plan to use it. I like to use scrubs in the shower so the particles go down the drain, but be careful, the oil makes it slippery! I recommend using this one before you shave at night and follow-up with a thick lotion before bed for extra moisture.

Body Benefits of each ingredient:

  • walnuts- natural oils help psoriasis, prevents wrinkles, rich moisturizer and exfoliation
  • brown sugar- gentle exfoliation
  • coconut oil- rich moisturizer and binding ingredient
  • green tea-antioxident and detoxify

I ground my walnuts in my coffee grinder, you could also use a food processor. Note that the high oil content will basically start to form a  nut butter. I just stopped when it was getting wet and pulled out the big pieces so I had more of an exfoliator, but you can take it as far as you want. This scrub has a very nutty smell, you could add some scented oil like peppermint to change it up a bit if you find it offensive. But I found the scent is gone after I applied lotion anyway!

Let me know if you have any questions on this one! Enjoy.
