my new business-eek!

(an instagram peek of citrus cream soap, it smells delish)

Why is Colleen so MIA lately? Well, lots of reasons, but one of the main ones, is that I have been working really hard developing a little bath and body product line! It is something I have been scheming for a few years, and I never got started because I never really had the start up money in the amount I wanted to get going. I finally  decided that I just can’t put this off anymore. Every minute I don’t use on this feels like minutes that I am wasting if I am not going after my dream. Plus, it takes money to make money, and even if I am broke right now, I have to do this because I know that it’s what I am supposed to be doing. Even if I just start small at first. So I am doing it!

In the next few weeks, I plan to give little peeks to you guys as I get ready to launch! I have been not only working on getting the perfect product formulations (the number one priority yo!),  packaging, and an e-commerce website going for my new venture, but I have been having a really steady stream of design clients at the same time. I feel really happy and lucky to have many exciting things that I love to do going on, but it has kept me a little busier than I am used to. My house is a royal mess, so I am having to find new routines and ways to balance being a wife and mom and babysitting for my sister, while I throw my all into this. I can only hope all of the pieces fall into place.

And you guys know how much I love DIY beauty fun and sharing them with you, well don’t worry. Even though I am now selling products, that doesn’t mean I will stop sharing! Actually, I now have a ton of new posts planned with really cool new DIYs for ya! It’s just a matter of getting into a new routine over here. To top it all off, Shawn just had surgery and he is home for the next week or so needs lots of extra attention, too. Men are babies I swear. ;)

So I guess it’s not a ton of information just yet, but I just wanted to let you all know what I have been up to and see what you think! I am really in love with the products that I am making and I hope that you will be, too! Look forward to seeing bath bombs and melts, lip balms, body scrubs, face masks, hand-made soaps and body butters! And plans for much much more! I am bursting with ideas. If you want to stay updated make sure to follow me on instagram for lots of sneak peeks!

AND how about the winner of the Rustik Chic giveaway! Congrats Christen Dobbs! I will email you!

Thanks for being hanging tight through my mini blog absence. I am back! Get your Loves on a Thursday posts ready for tomorrow!
