This shampoo is the perfect way to give your end of summer hair some love. It is extra clarifying and will remove all of that chlorine from swimming and product buildup! Plus, it is great to use before you plan on doing beachy waves and it also kicks up your volume.
- 1 tablespoon clear shampoo (creamy shampoos are not clarifying)
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 3 tablespoons of course sea salt ( mine is pink cause I’m fancy…totally just use regular it’s all good!)
The sea salt! Essentially you are exfoliating your hair, the same as you do your skin, but rough stuff back and forth isn’t good for your hair. Make sure to gently smooth the shampoo down the shaft and brush your hair smooth before you get in the shower so it isn’t tangly as you shampoo. Normally, I wouldn’t even put shampoo on the length of my hair, but in this case we are stripping the gunk so go ahead! The baking soda pulls build up away naturally.
Let me know if you give it a try! I have never used LUSH’s BIG shampoo, but I bet this is a super similar effect at a 1oth of the price. If you give it a go and think so- let me know! I don’t recommend this more than every few weeks when your hair is looking dull and needs a good clarifying shampoo, otherwise it may strip too much moisture from your hair as the salt is a bit drying. Make sure to use a great conditioner after.
