a book in 30 days

I am filled with motivations today. For my home, biz, blog, so so much, that I feel that I need to just “go do” versus sit here and talk about it. I find that when motivation strikes, it’s best to run with it. I also find, that if I share about it, it helps to hold me more accountable to completing what I set out to do. At sometimes.

write

I have always thought that maybe I could write a book. I know, my blogging here can feel rushed, and choppy, and you may even be thinking that I blow as a writer,  but I promise, sometimes I am ok at it. At least that’s what my teachers would tell me. Anyway it’s a bucket list item for me, so why not give it a go even if it’s only something that ever I read? Just stop judging me!

The problem for me is that I can never think of anything that I am passionate enough to write about. Even still, for years I occasionally brainstorm so I can write and last night I was web surfing for inspiration and I found something that I thought was interesting, this series all about writing a novel in 30 Days.

There it is in front of me. Glorious guidelines and structure, and if nothing else it forces me into a process and gets me writing. My best work ever? Most likely not, but a book, nonetheless. So THEN-I had a crazy dream last night, that contained portions of a reoccurring dream of mine that I have had for years and I woke up right in the middle and I just knew that it was enough of an idea to get me going.

That’s what I am chewing on, writing a short book in 30 days, because you know, that’s just the random stuff I do. Want to write one with me?

  • I took last week away from blogging and got some things done around the house. I painted my kitchen, did a chalkboard wall, threw away some junk. It feels awesome. Which leads to the fact that I just now want to spruce up literally every other area in our house. Haha. Really, though. I crave… [Continue Reading]

  • Kindness is so important to me, because I just wasn’t raised to be kind. I was raised to be strong and hold my own. To never let anyone push me around and to be tough. My mom was proud when people told her I was full of sass and attitude just like her. At the… [Continue Reading]

  • I love a good green tea face scrub and this one is my favorite to date.  The ingredients in this scrub have the perfect combo of vitamins, antioxidants and moisture and is great for anti-aging and wrinkle prevention-plus antiseptic properties that can help with acne! It can be a hard balance to find! I love… [Continue Reading]

  3. I did NaNoWriMo a few years ago and while it gave me the push I needed, I won’t be doing it this year. Though I am currently working on my first manuscript. I’d love to know what you think if you participate in NaNoWriMo.
