DIY- green tea face scrub

I love a good green tea face scrub and this one is my favorite to date.  The ingredients in this scrub have the perfect combo of vitamins, antioxidants and moisture and is great for anti-aging and wrinkle prevention-plus antiseptic properties that can help with acne! It can be a hard balance to find!

I love green tea and I truly believe that it is a super food that does so much good for you that you should be drinking it all day, every day. Using it topically can have a ton of benefits too, so tear open a tea bag and let’s put that magic goodness on our faces!

This scrub is totally skin softening, so much so that you will need to fight the urge to keep touching your skin! (For real, touching your face is a big no no).

To make: combine the contents of one green tea bag with 2 tablespoons of both honey and rice bran oil. I LOVE Rice Bran oil for skin and it is easily accessible at most grocery stores. It contains a ton of vitamin E  and B which skin loves plus it is also incredibly moisturizing.

  • I took last week away from blogging and got some things done around the house. I painted my kitchen, did a chalkboard wall, threw away some junk. It feels awesome. Hello.

I just subscribed to your blog this afternoon, therefore I’m only seeing your wonderful DIY beauty products for the first time. I do have one quick concern… You do give the list of things we will need and how much of each, but I’m still left wondering how often I should be using this on my face, if I should wash my face before or after using this scrub, etc. I was also thinking if I really like this and it’s doing good for my skin, I wouldn’t want to have to whip this scrub up every time I use it. Can I triple (or more) this recipe and store it in a jar I have laying around so I have some made up before hand? I just east sure if doing that would ruin the scrub or make it less effective, etc..

Just a suggestion… At the end of your DIY products, it would be very helpful if you could add wether or not the product can be made in a larger amount and kept that way, and how often to use these products, etc.
(aside from all of that, can you just let me know how often to start off using this particular scrub?)

    Thanks a bunch :)

    Nadine K.
