projects and things

I took last week away from blogging and got some things done around the house. I painted my kitchen, did a chalkboard wall, threw away some junk. It feels awesome.

Which leads to the fact that I just now want to spruce up literally every other area in our house. Haha. Really, though. I crave change like no other. Have you ever done white slipcovers on a couch? I feel like I need them. Also a new area rug like, yesterday and I want to replace my vertical blinds with some pretty drapes…and new pillows!

Anyway, it’s a crispy, but sunny fall day here, so I am working on some designs and thinking of a way to organize all of the gazillion projects that I have running in my head. Yesterday when I was at the gym I listened to this audio book about how successful people spend their mornings and it is pretty clear to me how I need to gain extra hours in the day. I need to get up way earlier.

This morning I set my alarm and hit snooze and totally failed, but I also had a trouble sleeping last night so I knew that forcing myself to get up would have just made me extra tired all day and nothing would get done. I’m hoping less caffeine and earlier to bed tonight will make it easier tomorrow. So wish me luck for productive mornings in the future!
